Colleen Cuddihy has worked as a lecturer and consultant in the Education and Communication fields. She has worked in a number of Australian universities and both the private and public sectors. She has extensive experience in developing, writing and conducting workshops for organisations, in-house and residential around Australia. Colleen’s consulting work has been with organisations as diverse as Zurich Insurance, Australian Antarctic Division (Tasmania), New South Wales Forensic Police, University of Canberra, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIS), the Departments of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Education.
Colleen has worked in the roles of International Education Advisor and Academic Learning Advisor. Her post graduate studies included a special study of the United Nations, Conflict Management and the Role of Australia in the World. Her interest and expertise are in the areas of intercultural studies including writing and education, particularly learning and teaching.
Colleen has travelled widely. She has travelled also to Sri Lanka where she was invited to meet parents of two of her then students. In her work as an International Education Advisor she has met many of the parents of international students and built warm relationships. She also spent some time in Guilin, China, at a Chinese Language Institute to further her study of Mandarin.
Colleen is a member of the United Nations Association of Australia and Amnesty International. She has sponsored children for many years through World Vision.
